Date of Birth: 1st July, 1981

Birth place: Peng-Hu, Taiwan

Nationality: Taiwanese, Dutch

Prior to my study in Fine Art, I already finished a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering and Master’s degree in Law in Taiwan. After that, I received scholarships to pursue another master’s degree in Law and Economics, which is one of the European Erasmus Mundus programs. I studied in Bologna university, Gent University and Manchester university for this program from 2008 to 2009. My interest fell in Intellectual Property rights and its economic influences on business operations. Learning new things always invigorates me and that is why I still started an Art study while I had a full time job and was pregnant with my second child.

2017.10 to 2018.2    Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts London

                               Fine Art department exchange program

2015-present           Fine Art department, Royal Academy of Art, The Hague

Koninklijke Academie van Beeldende  Kunsten Den Haag

After my master study in Europe, I returned to Taiwan and worked as an Intellectual Property specialist. In 2010, I moved to the Netherlands for my relationship with my Dutch partner. Since 2010, I had worked for a Taiwanese chemical company as their manager in Europe for 8 years. I was responsible for the business operation in whole Europe. We imported chemicals from Taiwan to several European countries and sell the products to the largest paper groups in the world. I helped to set up the office in Rotterdam and also the cooperation with handling partners in Portugal, Finland and the Netherlands.  In my third year of study in Royal academy of Art, The Hague, I made my mind to pursue an artist career. To have full force in my artistic development, I decided to quit my job.  My goal is to put most of my energy in art practice and at mean time wait for good job opportunities: flexible working hour and meaningful for me: working for NGO’s and museums where I could contribute my passion and expertise to.
